ABOUT US

Muddy Waters Theatre Company is St. Louis' newest theatre company headed by two theatre veterans, Patty Ulrich (MA Theatre 2001) and Cameron Ulrich (MFA Theatre 2001), with a desire to produce, provide theatre education, and train actors in stage combat. We are a professional, non-equity, Nonprofit Corporation with the potential for equity contracts. Each season will focus on the important theatrical voice of one playwright.

MWTC provides a base for professional performers, writers, technicians, and other artists for performance opportunities, education, and outreach opportunities. MWTC is most interested in theatre that explores contemporary issues in modern and historical works and will continue to legitimize itself as vital artistic tool. To set ourselves apart from other theatres in the area, each season will focus on the voice of one playwright. We have committed ourselves to educate audiences and artists, to appreciate the assets that theatre has to offer, and to foster the voices of innovative, imaginative, contemporary, diverse playwrights while respecting the roots of its history. We plan to achieve the above stated goals by producing three shows each season, providing classes to both children and adults in the community, and establishing an outreach program to families without the socioeconomic resources to pursue theatre education. We are in the process of working with an investor to acquire our own theatre space. We have been incorporated as a nonprofit corporation in the state of Missouri and received our 501 (c) 3 status. MWTC sees this art form as an opportunity to give something back to the community and the society we live in, to provide educational opportunities with the skills we have as artists and professionals, and to provide an opportunity for the aggrandizement of all.
