Auditions

Muddy Waters' 2011 season will feature three plays by Paula Vogel, beginning with "Baltimore Waltz," running March 4-20, 2011, directed by Jerry McAdams. This audition call is for that play and will be held Saturday, Dec. 11 in 15-minute intervals from 1 to 5 p.m. at the First Unitarian Church, 5007 Waterman (at Kingshighway). This call is for actors who have not been members of a Muddy Waters cast in the past. Callbacks will be 7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 15 at the same place. Please bring a current resume and head shot, be prepared with a monologue and ready to read from the script. Characters:
Ann: Late 30's to 50; school teacher; throws caution to the wind (actually lust to the men) on a trip to Europe with her brother.
Carl: Same age range, although slightly older; art lover; traveling with Ann in Europe
Third Man:  Middle aged; multiple roles .. waiter, revolutionary, virgin and a 50-year old "Little Dutch Boy" to name a few of the men Ann seduces.
Speaks a few sentences in French, Dutch, Italian, German. Clearly not required to know the languages but must be able to learn them phonetically.

NOTE: The Vogel season will continue with "The Mineola Twins," June 10-26, and "How I Learned to Drive," Nov. 4-20.
